MAC Employment Opportunities

Student employees are a vital and critical part of the MAC's success. Providing part-time hours equivalent to multiple full-time employees, students assist the MAC professional staff in providing quality academic, social, cultural and personal programs/support.  They work in all areas of the MAC completing a variety of tasks--providing office support, maintaining study hall and tutoring programs, providing programmatic support, serving as peer mentors to incoming first year students and much more.

Application process

The MAC typically conducts hiring sessions at the beginning of each academic semester; however, applications are accepted on a continual basis. Applications are available online.   As positions become available, MAC professional staff look through the applications and select students to interview.

Priority will be given to students seeking work-study and scholarship positions; however, there are a few positions where institutional hours will be available.

Once a student has been selected for employment, the MAC must obtain clearance through the Payroll or Financial Aids Office before the student can begin work.

Types of Compensation

  • Work-Study - Hours are awarded by Financial Aid. Number of hours varies per student.
  • Scholarship Hours- Hours awarded by Financial Aid. Students must complete 60 hours per semester.
