Montage XIV

Performance Description and Commitments

Thank you for your interest in this year’s Montage XIV Montage is a fast-paced show that explores issues of diversity and multiculturalism.  The show has music, dance, and various scenarios which address these issues in an entertaining and thought-provoking manner.  This year’s show will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008, with two performances at 6:30pm and 8pm, and promises to top the excellent performance of Montage 2007! We need you to lend your talents in acting, singing, stepping, dance as well as other backstage assignments that might benefit the show.

All participants in Montage will be required to return to campus on Saturday, August 16, 2008.  The Multicultural Affairs Center has funding to pay for room and board expenses for only 10 students (this will be done by lottery) but will provide all participants who do not receive the free room and board with a $35 meal stipend to help defray food costs during Truman Week. Please note, if selected the early move in accommodations and meal stipend only cover the individual participant NOT ROOMMATES.

Rehearsals/meetings will begin on Saturday, August 16, 2008 in the Multicultural Affairs Center. Other rehearsal will held on Sunday and Monday, August 17 and 18, 2008 in Baldwin Hall Auditorium.  All participants selected to participate in this year’s Montage performances will be contacted via e-mail by a member of the MAC staff no later than Monday, June 2, 2008.

Please take a moment to complete the Montage Application thoroughly. If you would like a hardcopy of the application, please contact Laura Bates.  All applications must be received by Monday, May 12, 2008.
